If you’ve been following my blog for some time, you will know that I love Chanel bags. Chanel bags are elegant, timeless and classy. Chanel bags are always in fashion. These bags are bold and stylish. You can’t go wrong with Chanel. What bags are my top picks for Chanel’s first Chanel purchase?
Chanel Classic Flap
The Chanel Classic Flap is the most well-known Chanel bag. It has been a staple in the handbag collections of almost every luxury fashion lover over the years. It doesn’t matter how big or small the bag is, it will always be valuable. The medium bag is my favorite because it can be used for many occasions. The Classic Flap can be worn from day to night with ease. For a casual look, I love to pair it with jeans and a simple t-shirt. The bag looks great with formal and evening outfits.
Chanel Boy Bag
The Boy is a more casual handbag than the Classic Flap. The Chanel Boy bag is larger than the Classic Flap but has a more sophisticated look. Although the Boy bag is still quite new, it is safe for us to say that it has been a staple in every Chanel fan’s handbag collection since its introduction in 2011. The Boy bag is a great investment. The Boy bag was just over $2,000. When it first came out, it was a very affordable purchase. It has gone up in value tremendously since then, now starting at $5000 (retail).
There are two options for leather: Lambskin or Caviar. Caviar leather is durable, while lambskin leather is delicate. Caviar leather is best if your bag will be used frequently. Lambskin bags will wear faster if they are used frequently. The lambskin bag, however, feels and looks much more luxurious. If you’re concerned about how it looks, choose lambskin.
Chanel Coco Handle
Although this bag is relatively new, I believe it will be around for a while. The Chanel Coco Handle bag was first introduced in the prefall 2015 Collection. It instantly won the hearts of many Chanel fans. It reminds me of a Classic Flap but is a bag. You can use the bag as a top handle, shoulder bag or crossbody. The Coco Handle bag is for you if you love the look of the flap bag but prefer the classics.
Chanel WOC (Wallet on Chain)
The Chanel Wallet on Chain (also known as a WOC) is a great transition bag. You can use it as a mini-bag or crossbody bag, or as a clutch. The WOC bag is Chanel’s most affordable. It’s also a great investment piece, as its value has been steadily increasing. WOC is a Chanel classic. It has been a timeless classic since its debut and is now a staple in the collections of many designer purse enthusiasts around the world.
