The season has already lasted four weeks. Where does the time go, anyway?
No. 12 Notre Dame has already taken care of business against No. 18 Wisconsin, winning 41-13 at Solider Field in Chicago on Saturday. The only other game involving ranked opponents is at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, between No. 7 Texas A&M and No. 16 Arkansas. But we’re keeping an eye on everything else that’s going on, and there’s no lack of excitement and drama.
Check out all of the results, reactions, and celebrations from across the country.
Arkansas is off to a 3-0 start, defeating Texas and climbing to its highest poll position in five years. The ceiling for Sam Pittman’s Razorbacks seems to be very high, but living in the SEC West means the bottom is always low. Four games against teams rated 18th or better in SP+ as a reward for their newfound success (and 23rd or better in the AP poll). Their expected full-season schedule strength is #1 in FBS, according to SP+.
Six of the Hogs’ next eight games are expected to be underdogs, and this game is virtually a must-win if they want to make anything of their season other than a “very promising 7-5.” And their defense will give them the benefit of the doubt. Bill Connelly’s Week 4 preview (ESPN+) has additional information.

It’s time to rejoice.
SMU made an attempt to rejoice. The Mustangs did a fantastic job. TCU, on the other hand, was not having it when they attempted to place their flag on the field.
TCU wasn’t going to allow the SMU flag go up.

This week has been designated as “Fresno State Football and Quarterback Jake Haener Week” by the city of Fresno. When a team upsets someone like Fresno State did to UCLA last weekend, there should be more of this in college football.

Let me introduce you to Jaxson Skywalker. In case you were wondering what the issue was with Jaxson Dart’s eye black, it seems that he was inspired by Star Wars. Dart, on the other hand, will be out indefinitely after undergoing surgery to repair a meniscus tear.

Stephen A. Smith is a guy who keeps his promises. He had to pay up after losing a wager to Tim Tebow in which he predicted Florida would lose by more than three touchdowns to Alabama last weekend.

Kevin Kelley is not a punter, and yes, you read it right. It’s an unusual method of playing, but one that I find interesting. Find out more about Presbyterian’s head coach by clicking here.
He doesn’t believe in punting and has received accolades from Bill Belichick, among others.
